Daniel Walsh is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Citymark. Prior to founding Citymark, Mr. Walsh was President, Northeast Ohio for Huntington National Bank, joining the company in May 2010. Mr. Walsh was responsible for management and oversight of all Huntington business activities executed by 1000 employees in the Northeast Ohio metropolitan market. During his tenure, the Cleveland region became one of the fastest growing regions in the company, and was selected multiple times as a “Top Workplace.” Huntington is a $100 billion bank headquartered in Columbus, Ohio.
Prior to Huntington, Mr. Walsh led KeyBank’s Real Estate Capital Markets businesses nationally, including Fund Management, CMBS, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA and Life Company whole loan placement business conducted by more than 100 professionals in 16 offices in major metropolitan areas across the United States. Mr. Walsh was promoted to lead Real Estate Capital Markets for KeyBank in 2008. In this position, he restructured KeyBank’s real estate capital markets businesses (and oversaw portfolio hedging and valuation of $22 billion real estate portfolio.) In 1998, Mr. Walsh co-founded and built KeyBank’s real estate Private Equity Group, a group that invested in real estate projects throughout the United States on behalf of third party institutional equity and mezzanine debt investors throughout the world.
Mr. Walsh was selected in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016 by the Cleveland business community as a member of the Power 100 reported by Inside Businessmagazine, both the Top 100 Most Connected and Power 150 by Crain’s Cleveland Business, noting the most influential business leaders in Northeast Ohio. In 2015, he was presented by the Humanitarian Award by the Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio. In 2014, Mr. Walsh was awarded the 2014 Richard H. Adler Community Leadership award by the American Jewish Committee (AJC). In 2013, he was awarded by Smart Business the 2013 Kent Clapp CEO of the Year award as a top community leader in the Greater Cleveland area In 2011, he was recognized by the Arthritis Foundation as the Community Leader of the Year by Arthritis Foundation and the 2011 Father of the Year by the Centers for Families and Children.
Mr. Walsh serves on the following boards: The Cleveland Foundation, Destination Cleveland (current Chair); as a Mayoral appointee on the Group Plan Commission (overseeing the redevelopment of Public Square); Cleveland Orchestra; Cleveland Museum of Art; Greater Cleveland Partnership- Commission on Economic Inclusion (Past Chair); United Way of Greater Cleveland (Co-Chair of the 2012 Annual Campaign); Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (Chair, Finance Committee); Playhouse Square (Chair, Real Estate Committee), ideastream (Chair, Finance Committee); Cuyahoga Community College Foundation and the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission (Co-Chair, 2011 Sports Awards). Mr. Walsh is the past board chair for the Northeast Ohio Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation and he helped launch Global Cleveland.
Mr. Walsh received his B.A. in Management and MBA from the Case Western Reserve University Weatherhead School of Management in Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Walsh also holds his Juris Doctor degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago-Kent College of Law, with a certification in environmental and energy law practice.

James Strauss is the Managing Director of Operations. He manages the investor relations and financial operations of Citymark. He has been with Citymark since its inception in 2015.
Mr. Strauss’s professional career spans over 20 years with vast experience in banking and commercial real estate. He is known for his expertise in strategic planning & execution, sales management, analytics, and marketing.
Mr. Strauss began his career at National City Bank in its management program. Following his tenure at National City Bank, Mr. Strauss became the Chief Administrative Officer at KeyBank’s Real Estate Capital group, the seventh largest commercial real estate lender in the United States with over 30 offices nationally and a peak employment of over 1,100 full-time employees.
Mr. Strauss resides with his wife in the Cleveland area, where they are devoted parents to their two sons. He received his Bachelor’s degree from The University of Toledo and his MBA from Baldwin Wallace University. In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors and classic cars.

Jerel Klue is the Managing Director of Investments at Citymark Capital. Mr. Klue is responsible for investment origination, execution, and performance.
Prior to joining Citymark in 2016, Jerel was Principal & Managing Director with Signet where he was responsible for originating and executing on real estate investments for the firm. At Signet, he successfully executed investments totaling more than $300 Million for the firm, its investors, and joint venture partners.
Mr. Klue’s career spans both the public and private sectors, including work as District Director for a Member of the United States Congress, Chief of Staff for a Member of the New York City Council, and as a management consultant for several Fortune 500 firms. In 2012, he was recognized by Crain’s Cleveland Business as one of Northeast Ohio’s “Forty Under 40” business leaders and one of “30 for the Future” by the Greater Akron Chamber of Commerce in 2014.
Mr. Klue earned a Master of Arts in American Studies from Columbia University, a Bachelor of Science in International Business from Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Nantes-Atlantique in France, and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Bowling Green State University. He lives in Northeast Ohio with his wife, Nicole, and their three children, Sofia, Stella, and Tyler.

Zachary Brown is the Director of Asset Management at Citymark Capital. Mr. Brown is responsible for developing pro forma underwriting for prospective acquisitions and managing the execution of those business plans through the investment’s life cycle.
Prior to joining Citymark in 2016, Mr. Brown was a Consultant and Chief Compliance Officer for Courtland Partners, an institutional real estate investment advisory firm. At Courtland, Mr. Brown was responsible for providing client portfolio management services, conducting investment due diligence, closing discretionary investments, and directing company compliance. Mr. Brown served an array of institutional clients, including one major state pension, a Fortune 500 corporate pension, and several labor union pensions, with aggregate private real estate portfolios in excess of $1.75 billion.
Mr. Brown received a BA in both Philosophy and Political Science from Youngstown State University. Mr. Brown also holds an MPA and JD from The University of Akron. He is a member of the Ohio Bar. Mr. Brown resides in Lakewood, where he serves on the board of zoning appeals and is a trustee of Lakewood Community Services Center.
